HERNE CLINIC
For a safe and comfortable treatment and recovery,
please review the preparation instructions and precautions for each procedure.
Recovery times and precautions may vary depending on the individual’s condition and treatment type. Please consult the medical team if you have any questions.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Depending on your individual response, you may experience swelling, bruising, tightness, tenderness, or a foreign-body sensation around the nose. These symptoms usually ease gradually as you recover.
02Cleansing & Skincare
Do not rub or irritate the treated area. Gently wash your face and apply makeup only when advised by your clinician. Keep the thread insertion and filler injection sites clean.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks after treatment, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot steam rooms, and strenuous exercise. Do not press or twist the nasal bridge or tip, and avoid pressure from glasses or similar items.
04Thread & Filler Site Care
You may temporarily feel the threads beneath your skin or notice slight unevenness. Do not press or reshape (mold) the filler yourself. Contact the clinic if discomfort persists.
05Nose Shape & Recovery
At first, swelling or tightness may make your nose look uneven or slightly different in shape. Results and their duration vary depending on the type of threads and filler used, the amount injected, and your tissue characteristics.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact the clinic immediately if a thread becomes exposed or you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, pus, or skin that turns pale or purple. Sudden blurred vision, vision loss, or other visual changes are medical emergencies: seek emergency care immediately.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Depending on your individual response, swelling, bruising, tightness, tenderness, or soreness may occur around the nose. These symptoms usually improve gradually during recovery.
02Cleansing & Wound Care
Keep the treated area clean. If incisions or stitches were used, keep the area dry and free from irritation for the period advised by your clinician. Do not pick at scabs or touch the sutured area unnecessarily.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot steam rooms, and strenuous exercise, which may worsen swelling or inflammation.
04Avoid Pressure on the Nose
Do not press or twist the sides of your nose or the nasal tip. Avoid blowing your nose forcefully, sleeping face down, wearing glasses that press on your nose, or any activity that places prolonged pressure on it.
05Nose Shape & Healing
Early swelling and tissue tightness may temporarily make the nostrils look uneven. The final appearance and recovery time vary depending on your tissue characteristics and the technique used.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
If you experience severe pain, persistent bleeding, warmth, discharge, pus, or unusual changes in skin color, contact or visit the clinic immediately, as these may indicate infection or tissue injury.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Depending on your individual response, swelling, bruising, tightness, tenderness, soreness, or a foreign-body sensation may occur. These symptoms generally ease gradually during recovery.
02Incision & Wound Care
If an incision or stitches were used, keep the area clean as instructed by your clinician. Avoid rubbing or irritating the wound, and wash your face or apply makeup only from the time you have been advised.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot steam rooms, and strenuous exercise. Do not sleep face down or in a position that places strong pressure on the treated area.
04Facial Movement Precautions
To allow the repositioned tissues and inserted threads to settle, avoid exaggerated facial expressions, opening your mouth widely, vigorous massage, and pressure on the treated area for approximately 1–2 weeks.
05Tissue Changes & Recovery
Early swelling and tissue tightness may cause temporary asymmetry, small skin indentations (dimples), changes in sensation, or discomfort around the mouth. Recovery and results vary; contact the clinic if symptoms persist or worsen.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, rapidly increasing swelling, persistent bleeding, warmth, discharge, pus, abnormal skin discoloration, or difficulty moving your facial muscles, as these may indicate infection or nerve or tissue injury.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Depending on your individual response, swelling, bruising, tightness, tenderness, soreness, or a foreign-body sensation may occur. These symptoms generally ease gradually during recovery.
02Cleansing & Skincare
Avoid irritating the thread insertion and filler injection sites. Gently wash your face and apply makeup only when advised by your clinician.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot steam rooms, and strenuous exercise. Also avoid exaggerated facial expressions, opening your mouth widely, vigorous massage, and pressure on the treated area.
04Thread & Filler Site Care
You may temporarily feel the threads under your skin or notice small indentations (dimples), unevenness, or firmness where filler was injected. Do not press or reshape (mold) the area unless instructed by your clinician.
05Volume & Lifting Results
Early swelling and tissue tightness may cause temporary asymmetry or differences in facial volume. Results and their duration vary depending on the threads and filler used, the amount injected, and individual tissue characteristics. Additional treatment or adjustments may be needed.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact the clinic immediately if a thread becomes exposed or you develop severe pain, warmth, discharge, pus, or skin that turns pale or purple. Sudden vision loss, blurred vision, or other visual changes are medical emergencies and require immediate emergency care.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Depending on your individual response, swelling, bruising, tightness, tenderness, soreness, or a foreign-body sensation may occur. Most symptoms gradually improve during recovery.
02Cleansing & Skincare
Do not press or rub the areas where threads were inserted. Wash your face and apply makeup gently only when advised by your clinician. Avoid vigorous massage or irritation of the treated areas.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks, avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, hot steam rooms, and strenuous exercise. Avoid sleeping face down or placing strong pressure on the treated area while sleeping.
04Facial Movement Precautions
For approximately 1–2 weeks, avoid exaggerated facial expressions, opening your mouth widely, and chewing very hard or tough foods that put strain on facial muscles and tissues.
05Thread Insertion Site & Recovery
If threads are close to the skin surface, you may temporarily feel them beneath the skin or notice indentations (dimples), unevenness, or asymmetry. Contact the clinic if these symptoms persist or worsen.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
If a thread protrudes through the skin or you experience severe pain, persistent warmth, discharge, pus, or sudden difficulty moving your facial muscles, do not pull out or remove the thread yourself. Contact or visit the clinic immediately.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, tingling, or soreness may occur after treatment. These symptoms usually improve gradually, although recovery varies from person to person.
02Cleansing & Skincare
You may gently wash your face and apply makeup on the day of treatment. Avoid scrubs, peels, exfoliation, and other irritating skincare for a period of time. Keep your skin moisturized and use sun protection.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise that expose your skin to excessive heat or irritation.
04Protecting the Treated Area
Because ultrasound energy reaches deeper tissues, you may temporarily feel tightness or deep tenderness. Do not press firmly on or massage the treated area.
05Temporary Changes in Sensation
Temporary numbness, reduced sensation, or a tingling or prickling feeling may occur. These symptoms may ease as you recover. Contact the clinic if they persist or worsen.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rare complications include burns, blisters, skin indentations, and nerve-related reactions. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, unusual skin discoloration, or abnormal facial muscle movement.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, or a feeling of tightness may occur after treatment. These symptoms usually improve gradually, although individual responses vary.
02Cleansing & Skincare
You may gently wash your face and apply makeup on the day of treatment. Avoid vigorous rubbing and irritating skincare products. Keep your skin moisturized and protected from the sun.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise that expose the skin to excessive heat.
04Managing Warmth & Irritation
Because this treatment uses radiofrequency heat, you may temporarily feel warmth or a burning sensation in the treated area. Avoid hot compresses and vigorous massage; follow your clinician’s instructions if care is needed.
05Changes in Skin Condition
Rarely, temporary changes in sensation, uneven skin texture, firmness, or changes in skin color may occur. Contact the clinic if these symptoms persist or worsen.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rare complications of heat-based treatment include burns, blisters, scabs, or scarring. If severe pain or warmth continues or you suspect skin injury, do not treat it yourself. Contact or visit the clinic immediately.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, soreness, or bruising may occur after treatment. These symptoms usually ease gradually during recovery, although responses vary.
02Moisturizing & Skincare
Your skin may temporarily feel dry or sensitive. Use moisturizer, drink enough water, and apply sunscreen to exposed treated areas when outdoors.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise that may expose the treated area to excessive heat or irritation.
04Protecting the Treated Area
Microwave energy reaches the skin and underlying tissue, so temporary soreness, reduced sensation, or a feeling of firmness may occur. Avoid excessive pressure or irritation to the treated area.
05Skin & Contour Changes
Temporary lumps or unevenness may be felt in the treated area. Contact the clinic if these changes persist or if you notice asymmetry or changes in your skin or body contours.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, burns, blisters, skin discoloration, or injury to skin or underlying tissue may occur. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, blisters, or unusual skin color changes.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, or soreness may occur after treatment. These symptoms generally ease over time, although individual responses vary.
02Cleansing & Skincare
You may gently wash your face and apply makeup on the day of treatment. Avoid vigorous rubbing, scrubs, peels, and other irritating skincare for a period of time. Moisturize well and use sun protection.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, hot baths, and strenuous exercise that expose the skin to excessive heat.
04Bruising & Skin Marks
InMode FX-type treatments use suction, which may temporarily leave red marks, tiny spots of bleeding, or bruises. These usually fade gradually. Avoid irritating the treated area during recovery.
05Protecting the Treated Area
Temporary tightness, soreness, or tenderness may occur. Avoid vigorous massage or pressure. Consult your clinician about the appropriate interval before any additional cosmetic or skin procedures.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, burns, blisters, skin discoloration, or skin injury may occur. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, rapidly worsening bruising or swelling, or blisters.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, or small injection marks may occur after filler treatment. These usually improve gradually, although recovery varies from person to person.
02Daily Activity Precautions
You may gently wash your face from the day after treatment. For 3–5 days, avoid excessive alcohol, saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise. Moisturize well and get adequate rest.
03Filler Shape & Recovery
Temporary unevenness or asymmetry may occur after treatment. Your clinician may review the results after about two weeks and make adjustments if needed. Additional filler may incur an extra charge.
04Protecting the Treated Area
Do not press or rub the treated area, or attempt to mold or reshape the filler without your clinician’s instructions. Changes in shape or asymmetry caused by molding performed outside the clinic may fall outside the clinic’s scope of responsibility.
05Delayed Reactions
Swelling, redness, warmth, tenderness, or firm nodules may develop some time after treatment. Contact the clinic if these symptoms appear suddenly, persist, or worsen.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, reduced blood flow can lead to skin necrosis. Seek immediate medical care for severe pain, skin turning white or purple, or blisters. Sudden blurred vision, vision loss, or other visual changes are emergencies and require immediate emergency medical care.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Temporary swelling, bruising, pain, or small injection marks may occur. They usually improve within a few days.
02Cleansing & Skincare
You may gently wash your face and care for your skin from the following day. Do not rub or press firmly on the injection sites.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For 3–5 days, try to avoid excessive alcohol, saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise. Get adequate rest and drink enough water.
04Treatment Effects & Changes
The onset and duration of results depend on the treatment area, muscle strength, and individual response. If chewing hard or tough foods feels uncomfortable after jaw-muscle treatment, do not force yourself.
05Muscle Effects & Asymmetry
Temporary muscle weakness, unusual facial expressions, asymmetry, or drooping eyelids may occur. Contact the clinic if symptoms persist or interfere with daily activities.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, the medicine may affect nearby or other muscles, causing severe muscle weakness, speech changes, difficulty swallowing, or breathing problems. Seek emergency medical care immediately if any of these occur.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, or small injection marks may occur after treatment. These generally improve within a few days.
02Cleansing & Skincare
You may gently wash your face from the following day. Avoid scrubs, peels, exfoliation, and other irritating skincare. Moisturize well and use sun protection.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For 3–5 days, avoid excessive alcohol, saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise. Do not press or rub the treated area firmly.
04Raised Bumps & Skin Reactions
Small raised bumps, unevenness, or injection marks may temporarily appear on the skin. Recovery time varies depending on the product and individual response. Do not press or massage these areas yourself.
05Treatment Results & Follow-Up
Results and the time it takes to notice them vary according to the product used, skin condition, and individual response. Repeat sessions may be recommended for some treatments.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, increasing swelling, pus, or unusual skin discoloration, as these may indicate infection or skin injury.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, soreness, or small injection marks may occur after treatment. These generally improve gradually.
02Keeping the Area Clean
Keep the injection sites clean and avoid rubbing or irritating them. Moisturize well and drink enough water. Take prescribed medication only as instructed by your clinician.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For 3–5 days, avoid excessive alcohol, saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, strenuous exercise, and other activities that may heat or irritate the treated area.

04Avoid Pressure on the Nose
Do not press or twist the nasal bridge or tip. Avoid glasses or other items that place prolonged pressure on the nose.
05Treatment Results & Follow-Up
As swelling subsides, your nose may appear to change in shape or contour. Results and the time it takes to notice them depend on your tissue characteristics, the injected substance, and the treatment area.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Seek immediate medical care if you experience severe pain, skin turning white, purple, or dark red, or blisters around the nose, as these may indicate impaired blood flow or tissue injury. Sudden blurred vision, vision loss, or other visual changes are medical emergencies: seek emergency care without delay.
Depending on the treatment area and individual response, swelling or bruising may last about 1–2 weeks. Flu-like symptoms or muscle aches may also occur for about 2–3 days. These symptoms usually improve gradually.
Get enough rest and sleep, and keep yourself comfortably warm. Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least two weeks to support recovery.
Gentle face washing and showering are generally possible from the day after treatment. However, if bone marrow was collected, protect the collection site from water for as long as instructed by your clinician and keep it clean.
If bone marrow was collected, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive movement, and strong pressure or irritation to the collection site until the wound has healed.
If you have pain, take only medication recommended by your clinician rather than self-medicating. Consult your clinician about any medicines you normally take.
Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you experience severe pain, persistent bleeding, redness, warmth, or pus at the treatment site, or if you develop a high fever or chills, as these may indicate infection or inflammation.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, stinging, swelling, or dryness may occur after treatment. These symptoms usually ease gradually, although responses vary.
02Cleansing & Skincare
Depending on your skin condition, gentle cleansing and makeup may be possible on the day of treatment or the following day. Avoid scrubs, peels, exfoliation, and other irritating treatments. Moisturizing and skin-repair care are recommended.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise that may heat or irritate your skin. Apply sunscreen generously whenever you go outdoors.
04Pigmentation & Scab Care
Pigmented areas may temporarily look darker, and fine flaking or scabs may form. Do not rub the area or pick off scabs; allow them to fall away naturally.
05Treatment Results & Follow-Up
The degree of improvement and number of sessions needed depend on the type and depth of pigmentation and your skin condition. Repeat treatments at appropriate intervals may be needed, and the plan may be adjusted after your clinician reviews your progress.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, burns, blisters, increased pigmentation, or other skin color changes may occur. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if severe pain, persistent warmth, oozing, or blisters develop or worsen.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, stinging, swelling, dryness, or temporary skin irritation may occur. These symptoms generally ease gradually during recovery.
02Cleansing & Skincare
Gently cleanse your skin only from the time advised for your skin condition and treatment. Avoid scrubs, peels, and exfoliation. Moisturize well and use sun protection.
03Daily Activity Precautions
For about one week, try to avoid saunas, hot steam rooms, swimming, and strenuous exercise that may heat or irritate your skin. Limit excessive alcohol and smoking.
04Acne & Inflammation Care
Existing acne or inflammation may persist, and new breakouts may appear during treatment. Do not touch or squeeze pimples yourself, and do not pick at flaking skin or scabs.
05Treatment Results & Follow-Up
Repeat treatments may be needed depending on the type and severity of acne. Medication may also be prescribed after a clinician’s assessment. Treatment response and the time to improvement vary from person to person.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, burns, blisters, increased pigmentation, or skin injury may occur. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, worsening swelling, oozing, or pus.
01Expected Recovery Symptoms
Redness, warmth, swelling, stinging, pain, or dryness may occur. These symptoms generally ease gradually during recovery.
02Cleansing & Skincare
The appropriate time to wash your face or apply makeup depends on the treatment and how your skin is healing. Follow your clinician’s advice and avoid scrubs, peels, exfoliation, or other irritating skincare.
03Healing & Wound Care
Do not pick off flaking skin or scabs; let them fall away naturally. If you were given a wound dressing such as DuoDERM or a healing ointment, use it as directed by your clinician.

During a course of laser hair removal, do not wax or tweeze hairs out from the root. Shave only after any irritation has settled, and follow your clinician’s instructions about shaving before the next session.
05Hair Removal Results & Follow-Up
Laser hair removal may require repeated sessions because hair grows in cycles. Results and the number of sessions needed vary with hair thickness, hair color, treatment area, and skin condition.
06When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, folliculitis, burns, blisters, increased pigmentation, or skin injury may occur. Contact or visit the clinic immediately if you develop severe pain, persistent warmth, worsening swelling, blisters, or pus.
01Medical History & Health Information
For safe sedation, tell your clinician about your medical conditions, allergies, all medications and supplements you take, previous reactions to anesthesia or sedation, heart or lung disease, sleep apnea, and any possibility of pregnancy.
02Fasting & Medication Instructions
Follow all fasting and medication instructions provided by your clinician. Sedation or the procedure may need to be postponed or changed if you have not followed the fasting instructions or if a safety concern is identified.
03Sedation & Safety Monitoring
Sedation is used to reduce anxiety, pain, and discomfort during treatment. Its effects vary, and the level of sedation may differ between patients. Your blood pressure, pulse, and breathing will be monitored. Sedation may be adjusted or stopped depending on your condition.
01Recovery Symptoms After Sedation
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, temporary memory problems, nausea, or vomiting may occur after sedation. These symptoms usually improve gradually during recovery.
02Recovery & Discharge
You may go home once your breathing, level of alertness, and overall recovery have been checked. Avoid excessive activity until you have fully recovered and follow your clinician’s instructions for rest.
03When to Seek Medical Attention
Rarely, reduced breathing, airway obstruction, cardiovascular problems, or severe allergic reactions may occur. Seek emergency medical care immediately if you have difficulty breathing, reduced consciousness, or severe chest pain.
